Productions Manager

Salary: $110,00 - $115,000

Location: Aiken, SC

Summary  

Under general supervision, directs and coordinates the activities of Production Supervisors and all activities related to the production process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
• Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
• Coordinates production activities with materials, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with specifications, and operating or production problems
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality
• Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems
• Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
• Visits customers as needed to maintain ongoing positive customer relations
• Provides and maintains a safe work environment
• Facilitates positive employee relations and work environment for departmental staff
• Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures
• Supports the plant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program ensuring compliance to policy and procedures
• Writes Operator Procedures and Work Instructions for operations
• Directs the work of employees engaged in receiving raw material and in the staging and shipping of finished goods
