Facilities Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Facilities Supervisor to lead and oversee the maintenance and operational functions of our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will manage maintenance teams, coordinate repair procedures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to create a safe and productive environment for all staff. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in facilities management practices while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to established procedures.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and other building infrastructure.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and facility safety protocols through regular inspections, safety audits, and training sessions.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately.
Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs with contractors, vendors, or internal teams while managing timelines and budgets.
Utilize engineering troubleshooting skills along with tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify electrical faults or mechanical failures.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety compliance documentation.
Lead efforts in managing facilities maintenance management programs to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), and mechanical equipment.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, technical manuals, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety procedures in industrial settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
Experience managing facilities using CMMS software for work order tracking and maintenance planning.
Demonstrated project management skills including planning, executing, and overseeing facility-related projects on time and within budget.
Excellent team management abilities with a focus on leadership, communication skills in English, and supervising diverse teams effectively.
Ability to perform electrical testing using voltmeters or ohmmeters; experience working with high voltage systems is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting complex mechanical systems repair needs in manufacturing environments.
*This is a 2nd shift role, Monday-Friday, 4pm-Midnight
